ALI OLIO

derived and inspired by Alexandra Isabel Hörhager (*1996 in Kufstein, Austria)

Born and raised in the middle of the Alps, the Tyrolean artist has had a deep passion for creative work since childhood. She first drew with pencil, later with watercolors and colored pencils. In her youth, she discovered a new medium for herself: brush and canvas. Acrylic paints offered her the opportunity to experiment with her art and explore new techniques while laying the foundation for her artistic voice. After graduating from school, her path led her to study design in Salzburg in 2018, which she graduated with honors. Finally, she discovered oil painting for herself.

Ali currently works as a successful interior designer and freelance artist. Her work in interior design keeps her up to date with colors, shapes and materials, which is also reflected in her artwork. Her works are characterized by modern influences and find collectors both in German-speaking countries and in the USA. For her, art is more than just a craft: it is a journey. Her works tell stories of gratitude and growth, of the beauty of nature and humanity. Each canvas is as unique as the people, each color symbolizes an emotion, and each brushstroke conveys an expression of insatiable longing to discover the world around them. Her art is intended to leave a feeling of gratitude, contentment and happiness. The images are intended to inspire people to gratefully perceive the small joys in life.

Last year, 2023, Ali converted a van and completed a Mastery Program in Art (Milan Art Institute) to take her technique to the next level. She is currently working on large-scale commissioned works while developing smaller series on canvas with mixed media and oil paints. In the future, she plans to continue traveling with her van and create a plein air series. This way of traveling and the close proximity to nature should further stimulate her artistic inspiration and find expression in her future works to inspire collectors to follow their own path.

“For me, true art is following your own path and embracing the little joys of everyday life while doing so.”

Why art?

“Ever since I can remember, I have drawn energy from spending time in nature. My works are inspired by its colors, shapes, and textures. They invite you to explore the world: from the beauty of our surroundings to the contentment within yourself.

My art reminds me daily of what truly matters in life. When I paint, I forget the time and the stress of everyday life. I am completely in the moment. Each of my paintings leaves a feeling of gratitude, satisfaction, and happiness. Through my art, I want to inspire others to follow their own path and gratefully embrace the small joys of life while doing so.”
